Not dumb atall.  ZEO/start.py has options:


   usage="""%s [options] [filename]

    where options are:

       -D -- Run in debug mode

         The username to run the ZEO server as. You may want to run

I think the '-h' one, with a dotted-IP address, would do the trick.
