[Zope] can't access zope

What have I stupidly done?

I'm running debian and as unix root have run 'zpasswd.py inituser'
and 'zpasswd.py access' but neither name will allow me to login to
zope. I get an 'Unauthorized' message from zope.

Is there something special that I need to do extra?
