[Zope] converting string to lower case

Hi,

Can anybody tell me the DTML function that will convert (force) a string 
(or characters in a string) in upper case to lower case.

I designed a form where i want user to enter a string value which i later 
used as a var name in my DTML method. I need this function because I don't 
want to tell my users that they should typed in lower case.
