runyaga (of Plone fame) has created CMFExample, illustrating a more simple 
CMS using the content management framework and plone. It's at 
http://plone.org/Members/runyaga/news/cmfexample05.news It's really more of 
an example of how you can create your own CMS using Zope's CMF.

There is also a commercial product (free for local/testing use) based on a 
customized Zope, called EasyPublisher. Go to www.easypublisher.com to try 
it out.
