AFAIK, there is no way of logging out if you use HTTP Basic Authentication.
You have to use a cookie-based authentication scheme for that (or you
programmatically change the passwort of the user, but that is a very rude
way of doing it).
For cookie-based authentication, the best thing I know is CookieCrumbler. It
is part of the CMF Core package, but also works without CMF ...
