Yes, we have a Site-Counter-Product but is it possible that the counter produces 1MB of data per minute.

Wild guess : some products write to the zope db, like some counter 
products (even worse if it writes on each access, as there is undo data 
added). Maybe you are using one of those?

I think you could also trash the undo's data.
