[Zope] ZCatalog and ExtDocument

Hi There.
Iīve been searching about ZCatalog and the usage of ExtDocuments. Iīve read that this product may allows you to have searchable documents content via ZCatalog. But I couldnīt quite get how to let the ZCatalog catalog the contents of ExtDocuments. 
Other thing that stills a mistery for me is how to let a ZCatalog update its indexes automatically. Where do I set that I want to have my Objects and new ones of a kind cataloged automatically?
