[Zope] renaming multiple files

if I have 2 files which need to trade names, I have
to rename one to a temp name, then rename the two files
to their new names.

There are other examples where it would be nice if as
long as the names were unique at the end of the
transaction the rename would proceed.

Has anyone looked at changing rename to work this way,
or have overwhelming arguments why this is a bad idea?
