[Zope] Newbie-Zope/Python: Enclosing Object ID?

So here's a question...

How, in a zope python-script object, do I determine the enclosing/parent
folderish-item of any given object-item without making reference to
something like request.PARENTS[0] or something like that?  I know it has to
be something simple but I'm just not seeing it.
