Been there, done that (though it was jsp / weblogic / portal
that was "converted" to zope as quickly as possible).
The result was, to put it nicely, ugly. Fragile, hard to understand, 
and as a result, unmaintainable.

If you're determined to go down this route, *plan* to throw
the result away as soon as possible.
