Ah, in that case you want:

ProxyPass /mysub 
http://localhost:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/www.foo.com:80/subfoo/VirtualHostRoot/_vh_mysub

The "_vh_X" directly after the VirtualHostRoot inserts "X" at the start 
of all generated URLs.
