[Zope] Zope 2.6.0 errors -- Win32 service start

Here's the error message from pythonservice.exe

C:\PROD\bin\lib\win32>pythonservice.exe -register
Registering the Python Service Manager...

C:\PROD\bin\lib\win32>pythonservice.exe -debug
-debug requires a service name
C:\PROD\bin\lib\win32>pythonservice.exe
pythonservice.exe - Python Service Manager
Options:
 -register - register the EXE - this must be done at least once.
 -debug servicename [parms] - debug the Python service.

Starting service - this may take several seconds - please wait...
Could not start the service - error 203
Registering the Python Service Manager...

Hmmm ...

If I start Zope as a Windows service, it immediately dies. If I start it as
start.bat, it runs ....
