I mean ZEO but it is not necessary to run it on a different server (host).

   ZEO will give you the ability to do ZODB related work
   in external Python scripts outside of Zope.

Have a look at the "LocalProc" product. I do not know it myself,
but it may help you to manage such off-loaded processes.
