thanks a lot for your disencouraging answer ;-)
we already found your posting concerning this problem on the dzug
maillinglist.
Unfortunately we cannot switch to debian at the moment.
We think the problem might be related to the "--with-thread" Option when
compiling python. Zope 2.6.1 seems to need "libpthread.so". At the moment we
have the impression python 2.1.3 on redhat 7.3 does not compile the way we
wanted to do (./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-lcrypt
--with-thread=/usr/lib/).
We are still trying .... ;-)
