[Zope] This is driving me nuts! - unable to edit users

hi there - running zope on debian stable/woody

i had this problem when i first installed zope - and think i fixed it by 
turning off caching.  but it has reappeared on a test server i have 
running.  i can create users - but when trying to edit them i get the 
following error message:

Zope
Zope Error

Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource.

Error Type: AttributeError
Error Value: name

i would like to get to the bottom of this and fix it once and for all!!!!
