[Zope] SESSION ques

So there is no concept of scope like in cookies here.

But if I set some session variables via my custom user folder when they 
log in, those too are cleared, however if I move to another page or 
reload the page the variables are kind of recreated ( i guess ). So if 
there is no concept of scope why are the UF-set session vars recreated. 
( I dont set them up in the validate method, they are set up once only 
when the user logs in for the first time with a new browser id. )

or is that just part of how UFs work??
