If you use the standard Windows installer, it gioves the choice of 
running as a service. If there is a reason you cannot use this, there 
are other ways to do it (e.g. FireDaemon will do it).

Is there a reason that the built in service support doesn't work for 
you, or did it sneak under your radar?
