[Zope] does zope do passive ftp? - was emacs and ange-ftp

thanks for all the previous help - for the record...

putting /kbailey@example.com[ctrl q then space]8021:/path/to/file
(i.e. /kbailey@example.com 8021:/path/to/file)

meant that the host name was being resolved correctly in gnu-emacs21 
(console version)

and...
xemacs works better in that it resolves the host name correctly when

/kbailey@example.com#8021:/path/to/file


however - i am still unable to edit files over FTP using emacs... :o(

i think i've found that the issue is that i am behind a firewall and 
though passive FTP is relatively easy, active FTP is more difficult.  i 
*have* set up a trigger which means i can access my company's winnt ftp 
server using active ftp - but even though i have set up a similar 
trigger (for port 8021) on the firewall the response from the zope ftp 
server does not get back in.

any ideas on how to get zope's ftp server to respond to passive ftp 
requests gratefully received,

hi there,

has anyone managed to get emacs to directly edit test files on a zope
server.

i try connecting to

www.server.com#8021:/path/to/file_html

but it says server unknown.

even dired does not work,
