Though it's user tracking is done from the apache logs, and Zope's users
aren't caught by apache.

Should be able to customize it to read the Z2.log though ...

Can anyone recommend a (free) access log stats tool
that works nicely with a zope+apache site?

I need something that can be configured to view stats per 
user ID, so we can see who downloaded what when.
