you could try to use something like this:

<dtml-var standard_html_header>
<dtml-if "REQUEST.form.has_key('file')">

<dtml-var "_.getitem(REQUEST.form['file'],1)">

</dtml-if>
<dtml-var standard_html_footer>

would also be a good idea to check if the correct url was given to your file  
variable, otherwise you will get an error message
