Connection lose appears after your editor detaches created by him the 
tempfile. Gvim probably has options to fix this (-f ?). External Editor works 
fine with both OS (UNIX and Win32), except on Windows there're some 
strangeness with WebDAV. But I think it might be Windows DAV implementation 
issues.
