[Zope] Photo objects catalog-aware?

Are photo objects catalog aware?  Probably not
as there's no mention of it on:
    http://www.zope.org/Members/rbickers/Photo/README.txt

On a related note, has anyone already modified the code 
to use the PythonMagick wrapper of ImageMagick:
    http://pythonmagick.procoders.net/
rather than pipes.
