[Zope] debugging permissions

i recall reading somewhere a hint on how to get more information
when zope or plone simply decide to display the login box. i am
struggling with a problem that i can't seem to solve, and i would
love to know which permission is lacking. but i can't find the hint
on the web no more. anyone remember?
