[Zope] Solaris, Multiple Processors and ZEO?

Has anyone attempted to improve Zope performance on multi-processor 
Solaris by implementing ZEO on a single machine in order to get a 
division of labor between processors?

I'm wondering if it might be a partial solution to the documented Zope 
performance problem on this platform.
