In the Zope Management Interface, look at the security settings for your 
photo album object.   One should have a name something like "List Folder 
Contents" - check the "Anonymous" box for that.

It's mentioned somewhat in the CMFPhotoAlbum README.txt as a 'KNOWN ISSUE'
