[Zope] Floundering Trying to Start Out

Help! I have some experience with other content management systems but 
I'm floundering with Zope & CMF. I have a site up and running 
(http://techcomm.us) but how do I do basic things like put a calendar on 
the left hand side of the page? I added a CMF Calendar Tool, and now 
portal_calendar shows up at the root of my CMF site... but now what?

Any other pointers would be appreciated, too.
