It might be working fine, actually.  An HTML document that consists of
nothing other than <div class=poppervert
id=topdeckvert></div> *should* render as a blank screen.  

Check the source of what you're getting from Zope.  My guess is that
Zope is working but your content is not producing the results you
expect.
