Hi, please stop the tar-discussion,
i was using tar (GNU tar) 1.13.18 on SuSE Linux 8.0 and
the Module Splitter exists!

What about using a TAR that works for your platform?
Stinking or buggy software is not an argument for restructuring
the Zope source tree.
