We've not heard from anyone new about volunteering, or even 
with questions regarding what was posted until now. The points 
you bring up below are a good start though - maybe clarifying 
some of these things will improve the response rate ;)

It's not there yet, though we've set up a call with Michael (the 
zope.org webmaster) to plan getting that rolled out. In the meantime, 
anyone in a hurry to volunteer can email me directly and I'll make 
sure that the click-through rollout doesn't block progress in the 
meantime.

You are correct that we are still working out the process, but the 
only way to finish working it out is to get some volunteers and  
start doing it ;) We most definitely do want people to start getting 
involved.
