(Sorry, this message won't be attached to existing thread.)

I'm sorry to hear about your problems.  I can only think that you have a 
.forward file set up piping new messages into a script to send messages 
into MailManager.  MailManager certainly cannot collect mail directly from 
a mail server itself if it is not present!

BTW there is a mailing list specifically for MailManager; the address is 
mailmanager-users at lists.sourceforge.net.
