It will need to be the same version as the gcc RPM. E.g. on this
(fedora-1-plus-rawhide) system I have

gcc-c++-3.3.2-1
gcc-java-3.3.2-1
gcc-objc-3.3.2-1
libgcc-3.3.2-1
