Actually, googling for that brought up an unimaginable amount of junk - 
mostly to do with Windows Update. However, "patch windows gnu tool" was 
most helpful - ta!

It looks like the stuff I need is at: -

(Now I know that I'm looking for a Windows cut of a standard Un*x tool, 
I feel as though I know how to fumble my way around - at the outset this 
was not clear to me!)
