[Zope] Zope Web Serving Options?

I have a zope 2.6.1 server running on windows 2000 and using the zope www
server to run an intranet.  I want to host out a public site with nearly the
same software (zope,plone,etc) on windows.  I need to decide what the best
approach is.  Do I use something like VHM and run Zope www server or should
I install Apache 2 on Windows 2000?  Any ideas on pros and cons of each?
Performance is an issue so I would guess apache could be good for
images,etc.  Any other ideas on using the Zope server for a medium to low
traffic public site?  What about security of running public and private
sites on same box?
