[Zope] "Product" under Zope 2.7.0

I believe bytecode conversion is carried out for a module only when it is
accessed for the first time. Can someone confirm this?

If all else works, this may not be a failure, rather look on it as a feature

I am attempting to convert some stuff running correctly on Zope 2.6 to 2.7
under Win2000.

I have a "product" that I created by following the instructions for creating
products in the "PythonScripts" product to allow access to the Python DSV
module from http://python-dsv.sourceforge.net/. This seems to function
correctly under 2.6 but under 2.7 the DSV.py module apparently fails to
convert to byte code ( my understanding is this is done on Zope startup when
required) thereby making the "product" non functional.

I am not exactly sure why this fails though. Any idea how I can approach
this problem? How can I get more information on this apparent failure?
