[Zope] export problem with 2.7.0

Hi,
I installed zope 2.7.0 on a couple of Debian linux systems (Python 2.3), and 
neither of the systems will export more than roughly 22kb.  The objects I'm 
trying to export contain about 15MB including subfolders/files/images/etc.

first, has anyone else run into this abbreviated export situation, and second, 
if so, have you found a workaround?

any suggestions would be appreciated,
