This "custom_zodb.py" is the problem.

Zope 2.7 has a bug in its "custom_zodb" support.

It is best to no longer use "custom_zodb" with Zope 2.7.
Zope 2.7's configuration flexibility is as high that a
"custom_zodb" should only be needed *really* rarely.
