Either you define a macro in nested.pt and use that, or you can call
nested.pt with options:
<span tal:define="length python:23">
<metal:block tal:replace="structure python:
here['nested.pt'](length=length)"/>
</span>
In nested.pt you can refer it with 'options/length'.
