[Zope] can ZPTs be located in LocalFS?

Chris,
I like the patch - page templates work great!
This may be silly, but is it reasonable to think that the same
idea could be used to support python scripts as well? (ie: can a
file named "x.py" in a LocalFS be forced to render as a python script).
I wouldn't mind working on it if it makes sense.
