Well, I upgraded to Python 2.4, re-compiled Zope and friends, and
updated a few of the third-party products, and my problems with Zope
deadlocking have stopped, or at least my Zope has been running non-stop
for the last 5 days.  We'll see if it eventually crashes (hopefully
not).
