[Zope] how to change from folder to plone site

not sure how it could have happened, musta been coworker, but my plone site 
'root' got changed to a folder ie, 'folder at /' instead of 'plone site at 
/sitename'

the site still serves up ok and zmi from site login is ok but zmi with zope 
login results in error if i try to access site folders, see following error

is there any way to change it back to plone site?
i tried to copy the corrupted site in bulk to a new plone site, but none of 
the customization came across
perhaps some export then import back to plone site w/diff name then rename?
there are a fair amount of modifications to the default plone site
