I should note that we've talked about doing a second iteration on this, 
to explore:

* Views caching

* Factor out any references to Request from the cache manager

* Introduce the notion of a Descriminator, so that exactly what makes a 
cache key unique can be moved out into an adapter separate from content 
objects

Expect a proposal describing this pretty soon.
