Ouch!  Sorry; I didn't mean to sound defensive.

I think a windowing UI would be cool.  It might even be a good idea to
enable it automatically for all platforms if additional information is
needed from the user and Tkinter is availble.  We simply don't have
time to worry about it, and done have a need for it ourselves.

If I had more time available, I'd be glad to write it myself, but
that's not near the top of the priority stack right now.  Hence, it's
a good task for a prospective contributor who specifically would like
something like this.
