[Zope3-Users] Beginner's question: Components without persistence?

Hi,

I would like to know, if components must always be persistent. For example, I
would like to develop a component which calculates something and returns the
result, so no persistence is  needed. For all J2EE Users, I would like to know
if there is an pendant of "session beans". Thank you in advance,
