Hey, good idea! :)  I shoulda thought of that ;)

I just tried it out, and this works:

<div tal:replace="structure python:'<script>'">a script tag</div>

<tal:comment replace="nothing"> your script goes here </tal:comment>

<div tal:replace="structure python:'</script>'">a /script tag</div>
