[ZPT] Internal comments in zpt's

I've been using zpt's for a few months now and am always impressed with 
what I can get tal and metal to do.  One thing I haven't found a better 
way to do is including internal comments in my zpts.  Unfortunatly each 
of my zpts needs to have a comment in it that isn't shown back to the 
user through the browser's 'View Source', so we've gone to using the 
following and I really don't like it.

   ******* My comments go here ******
</span>

Anyone recommend a better way of doing this?
