For most cases, METAL is the way to combine templates.  If you really 
need to make an explicit call, you can do it like this:

### TEMPLATE ONE SNIPPET ###

### TEMPLATE TWO SNIPPET ###
My favorite color is <span tal:replace="options/color">plaid</span>.
