No, and RDBMS update or insert does *not* cause the zodb to grow (unless zodb data is changed at the same time).
Perhaps you are confusing current-transaction-rollback and Undo? Zope supports the former with RDBs, but not the latter. That is, once the transaction is *comitted*, it can't be rolled back by Zope. Might be a nice feature to add, though, for databases that support it <grin>.
