His stated goal for GSOC was to bring people into the community. I can't think of many better ways to turn someone off than to ask them to port something from Py2 to Py3.
Well, that's what he said. But in any case it might be a good idea if Zope people joined the PSF GSoC project to vote and comment on any zope related applications if those show up. I will, even though I refuse to be a mentor, since I suck at it. //Lennart
