Yes, this is on Linux (Red Hat 6.0 with some updated parts). I have Sun's JDK installed, but of course I had to install Blackdown's 1.1.6R5 to get Oracle's installer to work. I spoke too soon in my previous message... things are not going very smoothly. Zope quits when I create an Oracle connection object with a bad connection string (wrong password; bad instance name). For those who are interested, here's the ORACLE_L in Setup that I used: ORACLE_L=-lntcp8 -lclient8 -lvsn8 -lcommon8 -lgeneric8 -lmm -lnls8 -lcore8 -lvsn8 -lsql8 -lclntsh Looks rather too simple doesn't it? :-) Actually right now I don't have Net8 installed because this is a rather simple test on a local machine only. I haven't really worked at it (8.1.5 Linux) because of the (apparent) dependence on the Blackdown JDK... Blackdown has been in a bit of a pout since Sun sort of snubbed them in the new-Borland offering thingy mid last month... Also, I can't begin to think about moving any of my instances off of 8.0.5 for a while yet (y2k freeze hasn't thawed and won't for a while).
So... if you're doing 8.1.5 on Linux, I'd appreciate a report on how it went.
