I've been learning about Zope as I go along hacking on my ZopeFIsh project. For the most part things have gone well, most problems having solutions. But I seem to have wandered into a weird little problem.
Did you open a new browser or just a new window? Here is why I ask: If you just open a new window, the user information (cookies) from the parent will be carried over and used. You cannot just log in again with Zope then. But if you actually open a new browser by calling the executable file again, then the cookies are all reset. (I know that Explorer works this way and I am pretty sure Netscape as well.) So, first thing: Check out as which user you are really logged in creating a DTML method in which you just write: <dtml-var REQUEST> In the mean time, I'll check your code. Please provide a step-by-step description where your permission problem occured. The traceback helps too.
